All new features in the Fortnite Season 8 update
Fortnite's 8.0 major update is now available on all platforms, which means that the eighth season of the popular battle royale game has officially begun. As a teasing, this season's pirate-themed, scurvy seadogs brought new cannon weapons. Epic also made some major changes to the game map; a volcano erupted from the island and there were two new surrounding areas to explore.
Of course, the new season also means that you can buy new combat passes, and it also brings a lot of new cosmetic rewards to unlock. There is nothing to say about Epic's other adjustments to the game. To help you understand all the changes, we've collected all the new content in the eighth season of Fortnite below.
Fortnite 8.0 Update Patch Notes
Patch descriptions for the Fortnite 8.0 update have been released, detailing the many changes in the game. In addition to adding new areas to the island (more on below), Epic has introduced a new weapon: the aforementioned pirate cannon. This can be used to destroy distant structures and even fire players on the map.
Another major release of the update is Party Assist, a new feature that allows each player in the party to contribute to the challenge. Epic also copied one of the best features of Apex Legends and added its own ping system to Fortnite. Finally, the developer has brought back two LTM-50v50 and Close Encounters - and fired some of the 7th season weapons.Players can Buy fortnite items to get a better gaming experience.
Fortnite Season 8 New Skins And Battle Pass
As every season, Epic offers new combat passes to Fortnite. If you complete the extra overtime challenge for Season 7, you can get a new pass for free, and everyone else can buy it at the usual price of 950 V-Bucks.
As before, the 8th Season Battle Pass gives players a unique set of challenges. Completing these will make the delivery smoother, which in turn will unlock new skin and other cosmetics for Season 8. Buying a Battle Pass also automatically provides players with Blackheart and Hybrid skin, both of which can evolve into different styles.

Fortnite Season 8 Map change
In addition to all new products and cosmetics, Season 8 brought some major changes to Fortnite's map. The mysterious earthquake that struck the island at the end of the seventh season led to a huge volcano flocking to the northeast of the map.
The volcano is surrounded by a lava pool, which hurts the player and will cause them to bounce if they touch them, and the island is dotted with new craters. These evictions allow players to fly around.
Most importantly, two new areas have appeared on the map. The Sunshine Steps are located in the eastern part of the volcano and have a Mayan pyramid. To the west is the lazy lagoon, where a huge pirate ship is docked.
